Single-Use Technology

Single-Use with multi-cycle filtration capabilities

Why use Single-Use Technology?

Single-Use Technologies/Systems (SUT/SUS) have become increasingly prevalent in recent years in Bio-pharmaceutical manufacturing.
SUT/SUS are typically made of plastic material and are delivered pre-sterilized by Gamma or X-Ray irradiation.
As the name suggests, Single-Use equipment is disposed of and replaced after use.
There are a number of benefits, compared to traditional stainless steel process equipment.

– No cleaning and sterilization required
– Shorter Time to Market cycles
– Reduced plant footprint
– Lower CAPEX and decreased time for changeover resulting in a higher output

Single-Use Filter

DrM’s two new single-use filter types consist of large surface filter elements, packed into a fully contained plastic enclosure. It is a clever alternative to disposable filter cartridges for cell harvesting and purification in biopharmaceutical processes.
